The Custom Program coordinator will work closely with the Custom and Brand program team to support production, logistics and speaker relations for Live Journalism’s in person and virtual events. They will help wrangle production elements, manage calendar invites and website updates for all our custom in-person and virtual events. In addition, the Custom Program coordinator will work hand-in-glove with the events team prior to and during the event, to ensure all custom interviews and talks are produced to the high standards and that the client event experience is exceptional. The successful candidate is a tenacious, creative problem solver, meticulous and organized.Key Responsibilities:
Work together with the rest of the Custom program team to make sure the associated marketing assets for custom programs are accurate, consistent and captured across materials and on the website.
Help make calendar invites and coordinate times for upcoming program related calls, pre interviews, tech checks and more.
Help collect and edit photos and bios for speakers and executive participants.
Help manage all speaker relations for the events both before the event, onsite during the event and post-event
Help onsite at virtual events or in-person events to support production needs
Work closely with, and keep all internal stakeholders (sponsorship, marketing, press) updated, on all information that is relevant about our events in a timely manner
Schedule regular programming meetings with custom editors and other stakeholders as needed
Offer back up support on Live Journalism events as needed
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of conference programming, live event or television production experience
Must be passionate about content, live events and conferences
Possess a fast, efficient and quality-focused work ethic. Demonstrated ability to respond to deadlines with urgency and effectively manage competing priorities within the live events and conferences programming world
Attention to detail and ability to multitask and creatively problem solve within short time frames
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism while working with key stakeholders and potential speakers
High level of initiative and self-motivation
Ability to take ownership of problems and coordinate appropriate internal resources to help solve problems effectively and efficiently
Degree level education
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation skills
