Membership Marketing Manager - WSJ Professional Marketing Team, Product & Brand

The Professional Membership team is responsible for recruiting and retaining members of the world’s foremost influential business membership. We equip ambitious professionals with the essential intelligence and tools they need to better lead their industries, grow their businesses and advance their careers. We provide a highly specialized service that builds on the power of our journalism, the insight of our analysis, the ambition of our audience and the continuity of community.

Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Membership Marketing Manager to lead the program and marketing efforts to help build and position The Wall Street Journal as the world’s foremost professional business membership for the ambitious, focusing on our executive memberships CEO Council, CMO Network, CFO Network and CIO Network.

The Membership Marketing Manager will oversee the executive membership brands, managing the development and launch of new member benefits, partnering across internal teams, and development of brand creative, working with our on site design team. The role reports into VP, Marketing, Events and Professional Memberships.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years experience working in marketing, successfully launching new products or programs and delivering go-to-market strategies to support a brand. Must have ability to manage multiple stakeholders to drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and execute membership programs to enhance our offering to our c-suite members, including strategic positioning, messaging, enablement & thought leadership.

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new member benefits.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally is a must. In this role, the manager will partner with news, sales, direct marketing, design and events teams to deliver membership benefits and communications.

  • Drive research working with internal/external teams to uncover audience insights and shape new member offerings and inform marketing plans.

  • Analyze market trends and competitors to create ideas which shape the student strategy

  • Excellent verbal, written skills

  • Creative thinker, ability to provide feedback to agencies to produce work in line with an agreed brief and objectives.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage workload effectively in a fast paced environment
