Barron's Wealth & Asset Management Group hosts a series of live and virtual national, regional, and international invitation-only summits, to recognize the achievements of the most successful and influential financial advisors in the wealth management industry. The summits are an excellent opportunity for elite financial advisors from across the industry to meet and discuss the latest innovations in the wealth services field, developments in the global economy, and strategies for personal and professional growth.
The Events Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of all Wealth & Asset Management Group’s industry-leading live and virtual financial advisor conferences. The manager will work to ensure the successful execution, from development and planning to post-event. By working closely with the marketing, content and client engagement teams the events manager will find innovative and engaging ways to deliver – taking both a creative and operational approach - with energy, ambition and a willingness to support all elements of the event, big and small. From time to time, the events manager will also need to work with outside stakeholders or third-party vendors. In addition, the successful candidate will also need to be able to manage a budget and think strategically about how to improve our events offerings. Being able to develop relationships and successfully work in a team environment is a must.
Plan the execution and develop run of show for all virtual, in-person and hybrid events
Manage individual event budgets
Assist with Sourcing, shortlisting, negotiating and confirming suitable venues (virtual and physical)
Manage hotel pre-event and on-site execution, including creating event orders, managing hotel room blocks and coordinating food + beverage needs
Coordinate and attend planning meetings
Pre-event preparation and live on-site execution, assist with the management of event staff, vendors and other team members
Manage production for virtual webinars
Accountability for audio-visual production concept and theme for new and long running events
Post event analysis – reporting, de-brief meeting, year on year metrics with the management team
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Takes a leadership role in managing events
Effectively communicate with all levels of management and employees
Work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
Manage multiple projects while remaining flexible and positive
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
A bachelor's degree in business administration or other related field is preferred.
5+ years of experience in events management, 1+ year of experience in virtual events management
Expertise in use of office technology, including the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Willingness to travel to multiple events per year and to work some weekend hours in the days leading up to an event
