Job Description:

WSJ. Magazine is looking for a full time Associate Photo Editor to join our team. Responsibilities include pitching photographers, production of shoots, photo research, management of shoot budgets and some accounting, developing and maintaining a network and knowledge base of photographers, galleries and agencies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for photography, fashion, magazines, fine art, travel, design and current events. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential as well as an eye for detail and grace under pressure and deadlines.

Basic requirements:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of photography including fashion, fine art and photojournalism

Strong visual sensibility

Excellent organizational skills

3+ years magazine experience in a photo department

Photo research experience

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Bachelor's Degree
