Associate, Barron’s Group Engagement Marketing
Dow Jones is seeking an Associate, Barron’s Group Engagement Marketing. The Associate will support the engagement marketing team’s goal of increasing subscriber retention for Barron’s and MarketWatch news subscriptions products. The team is responsible for the full lifecycle of paying subscribers.
Barron’s covers U.S. financial information, market developments, and relevant statistics, while MarketWatch provides financial information, business news, analysis, and stock market data.
This role will report into the Manager, Barron’s Group Engagement Marketing and will work cross-functionally with teams across the subscription marketing funnel (Acquisition, Retention, Brand, Creative, Product etc..).
Role based in New York City, NY
Implement the Engagement marketing tactics for moving customers through the customer journey. The strategy must employ a multi-touch approach; integrating channels such as: email, social media, web, mobile, and more to engage customers, coordinating activity across multiple channels.
Advocate for the subscriber and employ a strategic mindset to ensure subscriber experiences are best-in-class.
Effectively communicate subscription benefits and entitlements to subscribers.
Assist engagement managers with the launch and optimization of multi-channel campaigns for subscribers, ensuring all deadlines and best practices are met.
Manage the reporting of KPIs and other indices as per set criteria, on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
Optimize email marketing campaigns and advise on best practices for other marketing teams.
Exercise a knowledge of the brand and an ability to balance team goals with company objectives.
QA consumer-facing marketing assets.
Brainstorm, plan and execute engagement campaigns as they relate to markets/investment news and news products.
0-2 years experience working in a marketing role. Engagement Marketing/Retention is a plus.
Detail-oriented, strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to synthesize raw data into actionable campaign optimization strategies for new and existing initiatives.
Hands-on familiarity with marketing technology platforms.
Outstanding cross-group collaboration, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem solving, and executive presentation skills are required.
The ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment, as well as manage multiple and competing priorities.
A strong understanding of economic and market news. Interest in markets and investing news is a plus.
The ability to self prioritize and foresee challenges/roadblocks (and plan for them accordingly).
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business from accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
