Job Description:Advertising Sales Intern
The Integrated Marketing team sits alongside the in-house creative team and as part of the WSJ Advertising Sales team and is responsible for formulating and leading responses to incoming media and marketing opportunities - primarily across on-site advertising, bespoke content development and events. We are responsible for developing solutions from end to end, ensuring that they’re not only delivered on time and on budget for our clients, but that they also drive our clients’ business results and lead to long term partnerships with Dow Jones.
The Advertising Sales intern will primarily be responsible for facilitating and supporting best in class execution of campaign and partnership proposals. Working alongside the Integrated Marketing team and with the sales team independently to understand their advertiser’s business and campaign objectives and translate those into advertising or partnership proposals across the Dow Jones portfolio.
This role liaises closely with the sales team who source potential opportunities and prospects, the creative team in coming up with the ideas that underpin the campaigns and the media planning team to ensure we commit to delivering projects that are commercially viable. Therefore excellent communication is essential as well as being a good collaborator and information gatherer, someone who can support the needs of different stakeholders and help the team to arrive at a winning plan.
Skills & Experience:
Understanding of advertising, digital media, and the pitch response process.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Previous experience in using Google Slides, PowerPoint and/or Apple Keynote.
A desire to learn and progress in a fast-paced environment.
Can work across multiple projects simultaneously.
Capable of managing multiple internal stakeholders.
