About the Role:
Writing modular, reusable code to liaise between external sources of data, internal tools and Databases. Maintain the cleanliness and centrality of the Python codebase for the Global Olefins team and wider CMA team. Porting into Python computational models built with Excel and performs maintenance on legacy VBA code. Able to translate our requirements into technical deliverables following existing patterns in the codebase, where possible. Other duties as assigned. You Will:
3+ years of professional-level coding experience in Python, especially in data analysis packages (scipy, numpy, pandas etc.)
Experience with object-oriented programming is necessary , knowledge of OOP design patterns
Experience with peer-reviewing, code versioning (Git version control), and bug/issue tracking tools
Experience with Time Series Analysis and its implementation in Python (pmdarima, statsmodels)
Experience working across GNU/Linux and Windows operating systems
Experience working with Open Data Protocol (OData) and REST APIs
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Experience scraping websites with beautifulsoup, selenium.
Experience in the energy or chemicals industry
Familiarity with the use of type hints and static type checking tools (mypy)
Familiarity with test driven development and the use of unittest and pytest
Familiarity with ETL tools and Apache Airflow
Familiarity with containerization solutions like Docker and Kubernetes
