Dow Jones Integrated Marketing Manager in HONG KONG, Hong Kong

Job Description:

The primary role of the Client Solutions team is to support the media sales team in the generation of ad revenue and provide customized marketing solutions. This position requires skills that include creative thinking, concept development, market intelligence and presentation design – all of which contribute to the delivery of successful advertising concepts.


  • Serve as a category specialist for the ad sales & marketing team in terms of marketing intelligence, competitive insights, client activity, etc.

  • Support advertising revenue growth across WSJ’s and Dow Jones Media Group properties including print, digital and events by conceptualizing and executing creative advertising concepts that meet advertisers’ needs

  • Manage responses to proposal requests from advertising clients and sales colleagues by coordinating facts, ideas and concepts from product managers and other relevant contributors across the company

  • Manage the flow of information and articulate ideas into proposals that are clear, cohesive and convincing

  • Work closely with the sales teams to identify and implement new sales initiatives

  • Assist in the development of other marketing programs (e.g., media appreciation events, barter partnerships, trade marketing and premiums management) as needed to support the achievement of the company’s advertising sales objectives

  • Planning and on ground support at events including guest registration, venue liaison, catering requirements etc.

  • Departmental administration related to finances and invoices


  • University degree (or equivalent) in business or marketing related subjects

  • 3-4 years of agency or marketing experience in a related industry

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience of managing multiple stakeholders needs at one time

  • Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal)

  • The ability to turn ideas and concepts into compelling executions

  • Creative thinking and flexible approach to projects

  • Results driven and customer focused with excellent attention to detail

  • Experience working within multinational corporations with a sensitivity to cultures and practices

  • Ability to focus and prioritize under tight deadlines

  • Design capabilities (such as the use of Adobe InDesign software) would be a distinct advantage.

  • Exemplary PowerPoint skills

  • Comfort with simple mathematical formulas and Excel

  • Fluent spoken and written English. Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese or Japanese would be an advantage.
