UX Architect, Growth & Subscription Optimization

Position Summary:
We are looking for a UX Architect, Growth & Subscription Optimization to work with the UX Architecture team, supporting the Product Marketing roadmap. This role is integral to supporting our Enterprise Corporate Growth initiatives and enhancing our subscription journey.
As a UX Architect you will help customers connect with our brands, bringing your experience in usability, information design and information architecture to create and document holistic experiences. The ideal candidate should have a passion for user-centric design and the tools and processes that make it happen.
You will move projects from concept to concrete solutions by optimizing experiences for our readers, working to conceptualize solutions, map user flows, implement information architecture, build prototypes for testing, and create wireframes and detailed functional specs. Your expertise should bring an understanding of modular design and design systems to contribute to a scalable, sustainable approach that enables speed to market, evolution, and optimization.
This will be a highly collaborative role requiring partnerships with SMEs, Editorial, UX Design, Technology, UX Research, and Product. This role is based in Barcelona and requires 3 days in the office, as per our current mandate which may change in the future.
The UX Architect, Growth & Subscription Optimization will report to the Director of UX Architecture, Consumer.
Responsibilities:
Enterprise Corporate Growth: Design user experiences that support the needs of enterprise customers, ensuring that our products meet their specific business goals and challenges. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth within the enterprise segment and develop UX strategies that align with these objectives.
Subscription Journey Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize the subscription journey, focusing on conversion rate optimization (CRO) and reducing friction points in the user experience. Develop user flows that guide potential subscribers through a seamless and engaging journey from discovery to conversion.
Holistic User Experience Design: Move projects from concept to concrete solutions by optimizing experiences for our readers, conceptualizing solutions, mapping user flows, implementing information architecture, building prototypes for testing, and creating wireframes and detailed functional specifications.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with SMEs, Editorial, UX Design, Technology, UX Research, and Product teams to deliver experiences that align with both customer needs and business objectives.
Design Systems and Modular Design: Utilize modular design and design systems to contribute to a scalable, sustainable approach that enables speed to market, evolution, and optimization.
User Testing and Heuristic Analysis: Actively participate in user testing, conducting heuristic reviews, and applying findings to new solutions. Incorporate recommendations from our Customer Insights and UX Research teams to refine designs.
Accessibility and Compliance: Ensure all designs meet WCAG accessibility standards and contribute to an inclusive experience for all users.
Required Skill Set:
Experience in Enterprise and Subscription UX: 1-3 years of experience in UX design with a focus on enterprise solutions and subscription models.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Expertise in UX Principles: Strong grasp of UI, HCI, and UX principles, with a demonstrated ability to apply these to mobile, web-based, and responsive designs.
Tools and Methodologies: Proficiency in Figma, Design Systems, Agile methodologies, and professional collaboration tools such as Jira, Miro, Confluence, and Airtable.
Portfolio: A robust portfolio that showcases your experience and UX skills, including examples of enterprise solutions and subscription journey optimizations.
Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive projects in a hybrid working environment.
Plus:
News or Financial Services Experience: Experience designing for news platforms or financial services is a plus.
Accessibility Expertise: Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and compliance.
